GEN used in KyberDAO Experiment #2 on DAOstack Alchemy Platform
GEN tokens play a very important role in the upcoming KyberDAO Experiment #2, and now you can easily obtain it on Kyber!
GEN is the native token of DAOstack. Basic operations across the DAOstack ecosystem — such as promoting proposals — will require the spending or holding of GEN. GEN will be distributed to contributors of value through the DAOstack framework itself, incentivizing development, promotion and adoption.
GEN tokens are required for upstaking or downstaking proposals on the DAO. A user can ‘boost’ a proposal by placing a stake of GEN tokens (upstaking) that a proposal will get passed/predicting that it’d get passed. If you had upstaked GEN and the proposal gets passed, you win the current downstaked GEN tokens. Conversely, if the proposal fails to pass (when it is already boosted), and you had downstaked GEN, you win the upstaked tokens.
